Visit one of the largest fortified castles in Belgium and embark on a journey through more than 1000 years of history. Standing on three rocky peaks, the fortified castle of Bouillon dominates the town and offers a magnificent panorama of it. During your visit, you will also be able to discover a very widespread art in medieval times : the falconry. Admire the majestic flight of hawks, eagles, owls in an offbeat humor show (from 10 February to 11 November included). Finally, end the visit with the Scriptura museum which will tell you the history of the school, and the exhibition of the fresco "The armed pilgrimage of Godefroy de Bouillon".

Les animations vidéos sur de grands lutrins vous font découvrir l'histoire du monastère et à la vie de la communauté monastique aujourd'hui (10 minutes ). Des maquettes animées vous initient ensuite aux trois époques de l'architecture de l'abbaye. Le circuit d'interprétation dans les ruines médiévales vous explique la destination des lieux monastiques. Dans l'unique bâtiment subsistant de l'ancienne Abbaye, vous pourrez y découvrir : les secrets du savoir-faire brassicole de la bière d'Orval, un parcours interactif pour la joie des enfants, l'œuvre du moine peintre Frère Abraham Gilson. Selon vos attentes, vous vous passionnerez pour les collections d'art sacré et des anciennes forges, aménagées dans les caves du 18e siècle. Le jardin de plantes médicinales illustre les usages de la pharmacie avec ses objets d'époque. En saison, des expositions artistiques ou thématiques viennent s'ajouter.
